The Narrative Cell is a literary journal dedicated to promoting the theory and practice of narrative medicine, an interdisciplinary field that enhances healthcare through the effective communication, empathy and understanding between clinicians, caregivers and patients. 

The Journal of Narrative Cells is a literary magazine that aims to bring together stories of nonfiction, fiction, prose, and poetry to tell a collective narrative about our human condition. The practice of narrative medicine weaves together the intricacies of scientific understanding with the richness of the human experience through storytelling in the clinical encounter. Stories about illness, care, treatment, and recovery told from the perspective of the patient, caregiver, doctor, and nurse are vital to build a more human-centric and compassionate healthcare system.
